About the event

Dr Tim Sexton is Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trusts Senior Species and Recording Officer who leads the way with wetland bird surveys at Rutland Water.

In 2025 we will be celebrating the 50th year of this really important survey, which feeds back into the international designation of the Nature Reserve. This event will be a talk given by Tim at The Volunteer Training Centre at Rutland Water.

World Wetlands Day takes place on the 2nd of February every year, marking a global effort to raise awareness about the vital role of wetlands for our planet.
