Donate in memory of a loved one
Each gift made in memory is cherished by Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, and is a special way of commemorating the life of a loved one by supporting a cause that meant a lot to them.
By donating in memory you will be helping to restore the wild places of Leicestershire and Rutland, helping nature recover, and ensuring future generations will be able to enjoy nature.
Can I set up an online memorial page?
Yes, you can use JustGiving or MuchLoved to create a tribute page. You can use the page to share memories, stories and photos, and collect donations which will come directly to the Trust.
Can I donate via a funeral director?
Yes, just let your funeral directors know you would like to collect donations for Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust and they can arrange for the collection cheque to be sent to us at our Main Office, made payable to Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.
Can I scatter ashes at one of your reserves?
Our nature reserves are special places for wildlife with some areas receiving special designation and protection. To ensure we preserve these sites, we must take great care about what we bring onto our nature reserves. Because of this, we are unable to grant permission to scatter ashes of loved ones as it may damage precious habitats.
Can I have a tree planted in memory?
We do not offer the planting of memorial trees at any of our reserves. Many of our reserves are not appropriate for tree planting, and we aren't currently undertaking any large-scale tree planting.
