Bioblitz
When: Friday 6th July 2012, 18:00 p.m.
Where: Rutland Water Nature Reserve, Egleton
Summary: Rutland Water Nature Reserve is hosting its first ever Bioblitz!
The aim is simple: to record as many species from as many different taxa in 24 hours. We will record everything from birds to bryophytes, moths to mammals and lichens to lepidoptera. There will be a species totalizer to keep track of the species list, guided walks and demonstrations with experts from various different fields plus childrens activities organised by Wildlife Watch on the saturday.
It starts at 6pm on the Friday and runs until 6pm next day. If you would like to be involved in the recording please get in touch with RWNR Senior Reserve Officer Tim Mackrill on 01572 770 651 or email [email protected].
